
This is Coach Larson’s 19th year as head coach and 22nd year overall coaching for the Irish. He graduated from Elbow Lake-Wendell High School and Concordia College. While wrestling for Concordia he was a 3x National Entrant, earning All-American honors as a senior, as well as being voted the Most Valuable Wrestler of the MIAC conference. Coach Larson was also a team captain. He has coached at Concordia College, South Dakota State University, Dilworth Glyndon-Felton, and Chisago Lakes.

This is Coach Cookas’s 13th year coaching for the Irish. Coach Cookas graduated from Eastview High School, where he was a standout wrestler for the Lighting. He graduated from Winona State University where he also wrestled.

This is Coach Anderson’s 4th season working with the Rosemount wrestling high school team. Prior to coaching the high school team Coach Anderson coached the Rosemount youth program for seven years. Coach Anderson has also coached at Coon Rapids High School, St. Cloud State, Northern State and Dakota County Technical College. As a competitor Coach Anderson wrestled at the University of Wisconsin and Marquette University. Coach Anderson has also coached in RAAA for football and baseball. Wrestling has always been Coach Anderson’s favorite sport to coach, because of the lessons and values everyone can learn from the sport of wrestling.

This is coach Saulter’s 2nd year coaching with the Irish. In 1992, he started his wrestling career in Florida, and continued his career at the University of Minnesota, Morris. His career in Law Enforcement and Education has helped him to develop the best strategies for teaching wrestlers the skills and techniques needed to comprehend and develop their abilities. He has a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership that helps him accommodate and modify techniques for all types of learners. There’s no learning style he cannot teach to. He has coached wrestling, off and on for over 20 years, youth and high school. During that time, he has coached a US Women’s National Team Bronze Medalist and many State of Texas youth champions. In 2013 he started his own wrestling club in TX and during that time he came into contact with members of the Summit Wrestling Academy. He has three kids who all wrestle for the Summit Wrestling Academy.

This is Coach Sanborn’s 1st year with the high school. Started wrestling in 5th grade, competed for Frederic High School, Frederic WI; won team and individual conference championships. Competed collegiately for University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, 3-year letter winner, student-coach for 1 year. Assistant coach for Ashwaubenon High School, Ashwaubenon WI; fortunate to coach Large School state champion and multiple state place winners in 3 years. Also involved in Ashwaubenon’s K-8th grade wrestling.
Began involvement with Rosemount Wrestling in 2014, coached 1 Rochester state champion in 2019, head coach grades K-5 for the 2019-2020 season. Assistant coach 3rd-8th grade 2020-2021 season. Has served as both a youth and an adult mentor. Tim and his wife Lori have twin boys: Luke and Noah (12).

This is Coach Anderson’s 52nd year coaching for the Irish. Coach Anderson graduated from Hutchinson High School and Augsburg College. He has served as the head wrestling and head football coach at Rosemount High School.
