NOTE: Wrestlers at the middle school level fall into schoolboy or cadet level brackets for MNUSA state tournaments based on birth-year. These wrestlers do not need to qualify with points to participate in the state tournament.

Clarification on the qualifying process for this year…
The only change this year from last year is the top 4 at ALL Regionals qualify for state for 10U, 12U and 14U. Points have not changed at qualifiers; it is still 40 for 1st, 25 for 2nd, 10 for 3rd and 0 for 4th. Wrestlers need 30 points to qualify for regionals or for state depending which age group wrestler is in.
6U and 8U need 30 points to go to state and are not part of Regional process.
10U and 12U need 30 points to qualify to compete in the Regional process and must place top 4 in their weight to qualify for the State Tournament.
14U automatically qualify for the Regional process and must compete and place top 4 in their weight to qualify for the State Tournament.
16U is an open State Tournament no qualifying needed.
Girls do not need any points to compete in the Girls division at State, but if they choose to compete in any age group outside of just the girls division they will need to follow the qualifying process for that age group explained above.
